The cup's absence of a handle forms natural stability and balance. Based around the concept of shaping support for your hand, each cup was uniquely formed by the pull of a metal ring. Agitated by the water covered metal, the freshly hardened porcelain slip begins to liquefy back to its initial state to encompass itself around the ring and eventually dry, capturing the curves. Starting from a simple slip casted cylinder allows for the individual cups to have their own grip and height for its function of catering to the user's personalized needs.
