ESPRESSO
This seashell was transformed from a home of a living being to a vessel for the liquid that gives us life every morning. From the front it appears to be a regular white seashell, but from the back it turns into a water-tight and food-safe espresso cup. The natural curvature of the shell allows for minimal spillage and the chalky whiteness enhances the dark coffee. The plaster molded seashell is slip casted and refined in order for it to bake with every detail that appeared on the original shell.
